This special evening is organised by Brighton & Hove Business with two partners.

Many businesses people find speed networking essential in their business lives for meeting new businesses and 'doing' fresh business. Speed networking partners, Sussex Business Bureau have provided a number of quality and professionally run speed networking sessions previously at The Brighton & Hove Business Shows and we are pleased that this wish to be associated for this world breaking attempt.

Brighton & Hove Business Magazine  will be covering the event night and providing all participants with their own unique business advertisment after the event in the Autumn/Winter Issue, out end of September 2010. 14,000 copies will be distributed to businesses across the City. This magazine is available on webzine end of October 2010 and stays online until Christmas 2010.

 

We are pleased that Bainbridge & Lewis will be supporting this event by providing audited time keeping. Wired World Media will be providing podcasting facilities ad CQ Photography and Phase Photographic will be providing photography of the night. Echo Video Poductions and AVT Connect will supporting with live filming and production.

Parking

There should be approximately 100 spaces available in the Hilton Brighton Metropole Car Park. NCP car parks are nearby otherwise but please leave plenty of time for parking. NO ADMITTANCE if you are late. Please remember to car share - bring a car load of visitors, colleagues and friends to come and watch. You'll need to pre-pay and register now.

This is a pre- registered event only

All registrations must be completed by 4  September 2010 and will be subject to availability by that time.

NO admittance will be granted without pr-registration.

Only the named individual registered can attend the event. 

Doors will be open at 6.30pm for visitors, and The International Business Speed Networking Evening will commence 7pm, if there are no delays. The event management cannot be held responsible for delays or late start.

The sessions will be for approximately 90 minutes with no break or rest period. Visitors can watch for the whole period.

There will be bar refreshments available during the evening from 6.30pm, provided by The Hilton Brighton Metropole in the visitors areas.

No photography, filming or podcasts may be taken or made without prior written permission made to the event management.

The evening will be filmed, podcasted and photographed by Brighton and Hove Business Limited partners.

Participation or attendance does not infer a recommendation, referral or recommendation for any attending company or individual.

Visitors or participants are not permitted to distribute literature within the venue, except within the Speed Networking Session. They will be asked to leave if they do so. 

The event organiser and management have the right of refusal to allow admittance into this event and have the right to ask participants and visitors to leave the event. Their decision is final.

 

Information for participants

All International Business Speed Networkers must register online to gain admittance to the event BEFORE 1 September 2010 .

Payment will be taken online and confirmation sales payment paperwork will be sent.

The payment facility will be closed earlier than 1 September 2010 if the event becomes fully booked.

Your entry to participate at the event will only be by the unique sms message which must remain on your mobile phone handset during the course of the event. Removal will invalidate your entry and you may not be able to take part.  

If you arrive after we commence the session you will not be allowed to participate under any circumstances or substitutions made for non attendance or late attendance to participate.

Fees are not transferable to any subsequent event ogainsed by Brighton & Hove Business Limited or Sussex Business Bureau.

Sessions will be for approximately 90 minutes with no break or rest period. Please ensure you are able to participate fully.

Visitors or participants are not permitted to distribute literature within the venue, except within the Speed Networking Session.

You may be 'yellow carded' for any consistent delays you may make to the proceedings. 

You will be guided on where to stand and/or sit and movements needed. These instructions must be followed at all times.

Please respect the other attendees and move as instructed. The success of the evening depends on the cooperation of all the participants. This will minimize the length of the session and ensure you meet as many people as possible.

By participating you agree to observe and follow the verbal and visual instructions during the session.

Participation or attendance does not infer a recommendation, referral or recommendation for any attending company or individual.

There will be only one International Business Speed Networking session; speed networkers must be in the registration hall 6.30pm for a 7pm start.

The session should commence at 7pm but may be subject to change if it becomes overbooked or is delayed.

You will be asked to bring minimal personal possessions with you. You will be asked to keep your possessions away from the speed networking area but within view in the hall, ensuring hands are free to be able to give and receive business cards and complete some simple paperwork, during the evening. Failure to do so, may result in you being asked not to particpate

You will require at least 40 standard size business cards for the session.

You will be asked to complete a log sheet. This log sheet has to be fully completed and handed in at the end of the session and participants will only then, be provided with a usb stick of all registered participants business details up to 1 September 2010. Those 'late' bookers will be forwarded on the following day,  24 hours after the event, to all participants who have completed their log sheets, to complete their records.  

If two or more persons are speed networking from the same firm, then all of those persons have to speed network to be able to obtain the usb at the end of the session.

Pens, paper, clipboards etc will be provided for this event for your convenience.

Participants should be able to stand freely for periods of time; pregnant participants are advised not to take part.

No refund will be offered in any circumstances for non attendance or other eventualities, including lateness to the booked session.

Entry to this special International Business Speed Networking Evening may be prohibited after 6.45pm

You will be booked in under the name that is used on the final questionnaire paperwork submitted with the mobile phone number for use as admission given at that time. 

Please remember that this world record attempt is likely to take up to 90 minutes.  

There will be bars and refreshments available during the evening from 6.30pm, provided by The Hilton Metropole Brighton in the visitors areas. Water will be available for particpants at certain distribution points.

No photography, filming or podcasts may be taken or made without prior written permission made to the event management.

The evening will be filmed, podcasted and photographed by Brighton and Hove Business Limited.

Updated instructions, guidelines and terms and conditions governing the participation in this world record attempt,  International Evening, will be posted from time to time and by that of Sussex Business Bureau, (www.sussexbusinessbureau.com)  who will be managing the  session on behalf of Brighton & Hove Business Limited. Please check back regularly for updates.

The event organiser and management have the right of refusal to allow admittance, participation in this event and have the right to ask participants and visitors to leave the event. Their decision is final.

You will be contacted immediately after the event and asked to complete a questionnaire which will be used for general sustainability and marketing information and for your magazine advert. The information provided is not provided to any other third party other than for printing your advert in The Brighton & Hove Business Magazine. Only those who have fully compiled and remained to the close of the World Record Attempt will be provided with an advert.

The Hilton Brighton Metropole is approximately 40 minutes drive south from Gatwick Airport or accessible by frequent train service. Taxis are available at the airport.

By rail

There are frequent train services to Brighton from London and along from the Coastal stations.The Hilton Brighton Metropole is about a ten minute walk from the station or there is a taxi rank at the station.

By road

The A27 provides a quick and easy route for visitors from along the South Coast and M23/A23 from London/Gatwick down to Brighton.  We recommend visitors to car share wherever possible.
