VisitBrighton is the official tourism organisation for the City of Brighton & Hove. An arm of the Council, VisitBrighton is responsible for visitor services, destination marketing and conference sales. The team of 20 people are all passionate about our City and how we can represent it to the world.

VisitBrighton currently works with approximately 300 local businesses from the large hotels and major attractions/venues to independent retailers, restaurateurs and suppliers. Each business pays an annual subscription to be in our Partnership scheme which gives them a range of distinct marketing and sales opportunities. Partnership fees we receive are used to promote Brighton & Hove as both a leisure and a conference destination in the UK and overseas through the website, PR, Marketing and attending business events. In turn this creates wealth and employment for the city - these being our over-riding remit.

Star Communications

Star Communications is a business consultancy specialising in fashion and fashion related products and services, with a long history of expertise both internationally, nationally and regionally, which became involved with the Business Show during its planning stages November 2008.

The feedback from exhibitors and visitors alike, after the first Business Show in May 2009 was "...lets have another Show sooner than later in this recession..." and Star Communications has now continued to organise and deliver these event services.

The Hove Centre

The Hove Centre, Hove Town Hall, Hove, makes for a superb alternative to Brighton city centre for this growing business event. The Hove Centre, is just 5 minutes walk away from the seafront, and delegates wishing to visit the centre of Brighton can hop on a bus outside the Centre or walk just twenty minutes into Brighton.

Car parking facilities are excellent, with a large multi-storey car park opposite the venue, metered parking around the venue, many more than four hour bays situated around the venue, buses for most parts of Brighton and Hove outside the venue, coupled with many fine restaurants and cafes close by, making the whole experience an enjoyable day out.

The Centre is versatile, meeting the multiple needs of various events; offering 'The Great Hall', a large meeting space, dining areas, gallery area, and a further banqueting conference area and reception rooms. There are airy and light lobbies and numerous, generously proportioned breakout spaces. Seminars rooms have natural daylight, and air conditioning. Lifts are positioned at ground floor servicing all areas for accessibility users.

Angus Macfadyen is swimming the channel during August 2010!

The Brighton and Hove Business Show are supporting local boy, Angus in his bid to swim the channel during 2010. Angus has had to learn front crawl from scratch!

During 2007 he fundraised for a land mine charity by completing the London Marathon on crutches, after breaking his ankle,  raising more than £25,000 and setting a world record for the 'fatest run on crutches!' 

Angus is now attempting to complete his swim during August 2010 and fundraise for water wells in Africa.

About the Show

The Brighton and Hove Business Show continues to grow.  

The Business Show is now due to stage its fourth Show and it's success has been based upon understanding the local economy needs of businesses,  needing to network, and offering local product and services. 

The Business Show is only one of a handful in the UK that is funded and staged by wholly commercial means, without government or council funding, representing local commercial needs.

Echo Video Productions Ltd was formed in 2007 by company directors Andy Gray and Will Beare. In the last two years, they have worked on a number of productions for a number of different companies in both the public and private sector, each one requiring different styles and content according to the client's brief.
